Description

"French musical quality, Swiss mechanical precision" was the slogan of Barthe, a French company founded in 1957, best known for its famous Rotofluid vinyl turntable. In its day, Barthe imported Tandberg and Lenco (L75, L77 still in great demand...), and also marketed some exceptional amplifiers.

Here is a very rare (or even non-existent in this condition) example of a Barthe 6288 (made in about 300 examples, according to my research).

10-watt amp per channel (holding 20 to 20 khz to within 1 dB), equipped with 2 EZ81 rectifiers, 4 ECC83 and 1 ECC82 in the preamp stage and 4 EL84 Tesla (NOS) in the power stage, with the Rolls Royce of output transformers: a Millerioux STS H168B.

This amp, like all my amps visible on Youtube (see "AM'S Vintage") is just my long work as a passionate amateur...

It has been reconditioned down to the smallest detail: the long list of work carried out is available on request; a few photos (from No. 10) testify to its original state.
In addition to its total restoration, the circuit has been optimized by Mr Jean Luc Benoist (Dr Tubes).

This amp is perfectly and totally functional, as you'll be able to see on site; it is, however, over 50 years old and cannot be guaranteed.
