The 707 is capable of reproducing crystal-clear highs and particularly rich bass for a compact model, and its two-way design and state-of-the-art drivers give it a very clear, powerful and coherent sound.
BW 707S2: an exceptional Nautilus carbon-dome tweeter
The new dome tweeter developed by B & W for the 707S2 is made of carbon and benefits from the famous Nautilus loading. Finally, this tweeter is decoupled from the body by a connecting piece with damping gel, and receives a fine steel protective grille. The result is a more coherent soundstage.
A midrange membrane from the 800 series: Continuum
The 13 cm bass midrange is made from a Continuum diaphragm. This membrane comes from the 800 Series Diamond range. Continuum represents the most significant advance in midrange rendering since Kevlar. Its woven and coated material provides better resonance control, resulting in a more open and neutral midrange.
The Bowers and Wilkins compact loudspeaker is suitable for both hifi and home cinema listening, and can be powered by mid-range hifi amplifiers or audio-video amplifiers with a good current reserve.
