The audiophile Shanling M3 Ultra is a Hi-Res Audio-certified model equipped with a dual ESS DAC compatible with 32-bit / 384 kHz, DSD256 and MQA. Shanling M3 Ultra perfects the acclaimed Shanling M3X by adding a more powerful amplification section to efficiently power any pair of headphones or earphones from its 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm outputs. The Android operating system upgrades to version 10 for support of the majority of streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Music, Deezer or Spotify.

Designed with audiophiles in mind, the Shanling M3 Ultra is equipped with a dual ESS Sabre ES9219C DAC. The use of an independent DAC for the left and right channels enables Shanling M3 Ultra to process the signals separately, for more precise decoding. The result is better channel separation, optimized dynamic range and more faithful listening. Each DAC also benefits from a low-noise KDS crystal oscillator and filtering by a FGPA chip incorporating an algorithm specifically developed by Shanling. This limits jitter and once again maximizes conversion accuracy. Thanks to this set-up, the Shanling M3 Ultra is able to handle PCM streams up to 32 bits / 384 kHz from a vast choice of files: FLAC, WMA, AIFF, ALAC, MAV, OGG. DSD files up to DSD 256 and MQA are also supported.

At the DAC output, the Shanling M3 Ultra Walkman uses new Ricore RT6863 modules to amplify the signal. These provide reduced distortion, maximize dynamic range and facilitate the feeding of high-impedance headphones. At the output of these amplifiers, the Shanling M3 Ultra audiophile walkman has two headphone outputs: an unbalanced 3.5 mm output and a balanced 4.4 mm output. Power is rated at 260 mW at 32 ohms on the unbalanced output and 164 mW at 32 ohms on the balanced output.

The Shanling M3 Ultra audiophile player is equipped with a WiFi controller, so you can easily transfer your music wirelessly, or play music stored on your local network in DLNA. What's more, the Shanling M3 Ultra's built-in Android 10 operating system gives you access to a host of online music services, including Qobuz, Tidal, Deezer and Spotify. Naturally, Qobuz supports Hi-Res music, while Tidal supports MQA files.

In addition to its WiFi controller, the Shanling M3 Ultra Walkman also features a Bluetooth module for easy use with wireless headphones or earphones. Support for Bluetooth aptX HD and LDAC codecs ensures high-speed transmission, maximizing the precision of wireless listening. The Shanling M3 Ultra Walkman is therefore certified Hi-Res Audio Wireless. The Shanling M3 Ultra's Bluetooth controller can also be used as a receiver to receive all your music streams from a smartphone or tablet, for example.

Lightweight and robust, the Shanling M3 Ultra audiophile player features an aluminum chassis housing a large 4.2" diagonal touchscreen with 768x1280 pixel resolution. It facilitates access to settings, applications and navigation of your music library. This can be stored in the Shanling M3 Ultra's 32 GB internal memory or on an external micro SD card.

The Shanling M3 Ultra is powered by a lithium-polymer battery offering up to 20h30 hours of autonomy when used with the asymmetrical output, or 14h30 hours with the symmetrical output. So it's ready to accompany you all day long, wherever you go. The battery is quickly recharged via the USB-C port on the underside of the player. This input can also be used to connect the Shanling M3 Ultra to a Windows or Mac computer for use as a USB DAC.
