DescriptionExtremely rare for sale: ETALON DRIVER ONE power amp. Diapason magazine's reference amp for benchmarking amps. Countless sound qualities, including musicality, naturalness and transparency. But above all: all the subtleties of interpretation are audible; very enthusiastic reviews in several forums. Several versions of driver one (at first, a single transformer and 6 capacitors) ...but this one is a true double mono: 2 huge transformers and 10 power supply filtering capacitors of 6800 microF [hidden by AV-Market] gave it for 2 x 150w And 2 x 20w in class A.
This is the same INTEGRAL amplifier without the preamp.
In fact, the unit has had little use and is in perfect working order. An indelicate person before me placed a (heavy) hifi element on top of the amp, and the midrange cover is damaged; this has no electronic impact, and the amp works without any parasitic noise. On the front photo, reflections from the floor tiles give the impression of imperfections, but these are reflections; the front is impeccable.
My price (1800€ CLOSED) is extremely low for the qualities of the device and I would be delighted to give you a listen.
Today, an amp in this class costs at least €10K new.
