Hi-Fi amplifier and player CAMBRIDGE AZUR 640

CAMBRIDGE AZUR 640A amplifier (2 x 65 W) and CAMBRIDGE AZUR 640C CD player with remote control (only one to manage both devices).
Their strong points (like the entire range from English audiophile brand Cambridge): exemplary manufacturing and the choice of audiophile components.
The amplifier was overhauled last March (invoice attached).
Both units are in perfect cosmetic condition (a few micro-scratches on the front of the amp) and musical working order. I specify musical, as there is a flaw in the mechanical operation of the buttons, which can be a little recalcitrant. However, there's no problem controlling all functions with the remote control. The price takes this little drawback into account.

The preamplifier offers 6 inputs and 2 outputs for recorders (cassette, CD burner, DAT or MD). The power section uses a peak detection circuit to provide high-performance speaker protection. This unit - the CAP5 - introduces no active components into the signal flow, and is therefore totally neutral in normal operation. This protection acts in the event of a short-circuit, excessive overheating or the passage of a DC signal to the loudspeakers. The chassis is acoustically damped to avoid internal resonance. Components are carefully selected and chosen from the best on the market (such as Vishay polypropylene audiophile capacitors).
