PACK 5.2.2 Jamo S807 Atmos

The Jamo S 807 floorstanding speaker is the mid-range model in the Jamo Studio 8 range. It features metal brackets on the top of its cabinet, which serve as connection points for the Jamo S 8 ATM Dolby Atmos speaker, a pair of which is included in this package. These points are connected from inside the speaker to the terminal blocks dedicated to the Dolby Atmos channel, located above the main terminal block on the back of the speaker. This design allows all cables to be connected to the rear of the Jamo S 807 floorstanding speaker, avoiding the need for an unsightly speaker cable running down from the Atmos speaker. The Jamo S 807 floorstanding speaker features two 13 cm-diameter bass-midrange drivers with aluminized Polyfibre cones, and a 25 mm-diameter tweeter in coated fabric. The bass-midrange drivers are bass-reflex loaded, with a laminar port at the base of the speaker to extend the bass range.

The Jamo S 801 compact speaker features a 10 cm diameter bass-midrange driver using the same type of aluminized Polyfibre cone as the other speakers in the range. Its 25 mm-diameter tweeter in coated fabric is also identical to that of the other Jamo Studio 8 speakers. Finally, the Jamo S 81 CEN center speaker features two 10 cm-diameter bass-midrange drivers with aluminized polyfibre cones, and the same 25 mm-diameter tweeter.

This speaker package benefits from the support of the Jamo S 810 SUB subwoofer at the lower end of the spectrum. This Jamo subwoofer features Class D amplification, whose high efficiency compensates for its modest power output. Admittedly, it only boasts 75 watts on paper (150 watts peak), but when put to the test, they are real and well used. The 25 cm Polyfibre cone loudspeaker, which benefits from a bass reflex load volume with ground-firing port, is therefore powered very efficiently. This translates into a dynamic, powerful bass (110 dB SPL) that can be easily deployed in a listening room of 25 m² or more. The frequency range covered by the Jamo S 810 SUB subwoofer extends from 36 Hz to 180 Hz, with a continuously adjustable crossover frequency from 40 to 160 Hz.
